I first dabbled in learning design at just 10 years old, when I wrote a bulky, 4-page quiz for my 5th grade classmates on... Pokémon.

Needless to say, it wasn't my best work. It did, however, spark something I didn’t have words for yet, and that was taking something complex and turning it into something others could enjoy and learn from.

That spark carried me all the way from the countryside of Japan — where I built end-to-end curricula for learners, from 1st graders to adults — to my work today, designing technical training for partners at Brivo. Across rural classrooms, corporate environments, and global teams, one thing has remained constant: people learn best when they feel understood.

That belief shapes my approach to learning design. Whether I’m creating a certification program or prototyping on-the-job microlearning with GenAI, my approach is to build story-driven, learner-first experiences that simplify complexity and boost confidence, helping people do their work better.

My work is rooted in relationships — I've had the privilege of partnering closely with SMEs, stakeholders, and learners, as their insight is what allows me to create truly meaningful experiences. While I care deeply about improving performance and business outcomes, what drives me most is knowing that learners feel capable and supported.

Outside of work, you can usually find me lifting weights, spending time with family and friends, or looking for a good patch of sky to watch the clouds from. My years in Japan left me with a deep love for slow mornings and quiet landscapes, which you can see below.

Excited to connect with you!
